Streets of Gold

Christian Cafe contributor Gigi Gallano writes: "I shot this last March 2005 in Sorsogon, Philippines while aboard a jeepney. It was harvest season and the farmers spread their golden 'palay' (rice grain) out on the streets to sun-dry them. According to my Mom, farmers do this so that it would be easier for them to separate the shaft from the grain later on. Maybe this would give us a glimpse of how the streets of heaven would look like." (Gigi Gallano/March 2005)
